WELCOME TO THE STORYTELLING LAB WHERE DEI COMES ALIVE
The Storytelling Lab is our new, growing collection of DEI related product and services. Storytelling has also been a fundamental part of civil rights history and movements in the U.S. and around the world. Some of our greatest civil rights leaders such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Cesar Chavez, and Harvey Milk effectively leaned into storytelling to inspire, organize, and mobilize their respective movements and usher in social change. Storytelling can be just as impactful and transformative to promote, integrate, and advance DEI strategies and principles.
Storytelling has been fundamental to human history since before recorded history. Stories can connect us on a deeply emotional level and create a communal, shared experience. They have the magic to touch our hearts, to make us feel seen and heard, and to create a shared sense of belonging. Storytelling is so fundamental to the human experience that we go about our daily lives repeating and acting out versions of internal stories that we tell ourselves. Integrating storytelling strategies into our broader work simply makes sense.
